In the capital of the country, the surroundings of Paseo Los Proceres (Walk of the Heroes) have been filled with colorful presence of boys and girls wearing creative costumes, enjoying a diverse range of attractions including giant inflatables, climbing walls, karting circuits and virtual reality stations, ensuring that Caracas Carnivals offer technology and tradition in one place.

Similarly, other prominent urban green spaces such as the Francisco de Miranda Park and Los Caobos Park welcomed thousands of citizens throughout the last day of the celebration. These locations provided crucial public infrastructure for cultural events, children’s activities, and communal gatherings, embodying the spirit of “Carnivals in Peace” promoted by the Bolivarian Government.

In this sense, the mayor Carmen Melendez emphasized that the people of Caracas, especially the boys and girls, have lived the Carnivals to the fullest. “One of the centers in which we have arranged everything for the enjoyment of the families of Caracas and those who visit us”, she detailed.

Marianela Visconte, a cultural figure present at the parade, also highlighted the importance of participating in this event. “It’s a pleasure for me to be dressed as a Madama, it’s the best thing that can happen to you because it’s a tradition from our Callao. Here in Caracas, we respect and make it known that the Madamas are part of our heritage”, she expressed.

Through the Carnival Recreation Plan, thousands of recreators have been distributed in parks and squares across the country, attending that the priority in these Carnivals has been the attention to the child population.

With traditional dances, costumed children recalled their roots and ancestry in the Ciudad Caribia neighborhood, on the outskirts of Caracas, celebrating Carnival for Peace 2026.

The same atmosphere prevailed in the Petare area, with drums, songs, and dances. “I celebrate our carnivals with joy and excitement, together with everyone who is with us right now, especially the children, as we begin our carnival festivities”, said Dayana Blanco, one of the attendees at the event.

The state of Falcon, for instance, notably attracted numerous people to its picturesque coastal resorts and the historically rich Historic Center of Coro, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with landscapes and cultural heritage provided unique attractions for both local and international visitors.

Across the state of Miranda, centuries old traditions from different cultures in the Americas and Europe blended together as people took to the streets with their friends and families to celebrate the traditional event that marks the final days before the start of Lent.

Meanwhile, the state of Aragua activated more than 80 recreational spaces, demonstrating a significant effort to decentralize celebrations. This included the notable reinauguration of the Felipe Guevara Rojas Park in Maracay, providing renewed infrastructure for public use and enjoyment during the festive period.

“May these 2026 carnivals be another step this year to show the world our great spirituality, to show the world that nothing defeats us, that nothing overcomes us, that our history propels us forward”, had emphasized the Acting President Delcy Rodriguez in the inaguration of the carnivals last Friday, defending them as “the vibrant expression of Venezuelan identity.”
